Bruno and Corie met in a coffee shop in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Corie learned Bruno was from Brazil. Bruno learned Corie had long been interested in Latin American cultures. They learned they both loved storytelling. Bruno shared tales of the goddesses of his Afro-Brazilian heritage, who Corie thought could help tell her own personal story.
By way of a year-long voyage in sensorial experience, physical movement, and respectful learning of each other’s pasts, Bruno and Corie wove together
A contemporary story of journeying through unbelonging in a quest to find home, dancing with the goddesses along the way.
